Sunday Outing: “The Little Mermaid”

Sunday, May 28, 2023. Our Memorial Day weekend included mermaids and mermans. Best Life Glenn and family attended Disney’s newly-released The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey. A huge thanks to our community partner, Visions of the Minds and community activist Josie Dean, for inviting us and ringing other kids from Rockdale County, GA. The kids took pictures on the Red Carpet with a costumed mermaid and received goodie bags. Everyone was treated to popcorn, candy and drinks. There was also a performance by a children’s dance troupe before the movie. So glad to support Disney’s new work featuring Bailey, an African-American who is a native of Atlanta in this leading role. The very talented Bailey, who has a beautiful voice, made us proud.
