Historic Pullman Yards, Atlanta’s Kirkwood Community

Cool place to eat, enjoy the music, special exhibits.  225 Rogers St., Atlanta

We recently checked out historic Pullman Yards, a former industrial complex that has been revitalized into the Kirkwood community of Atlanta

Pullman Yards is a great place to grab a bite to eat and hang out. Home to film projects such as Hunger Games, Fast and Furious, Baby Driver and Bad Boys, Pullman Yards offers two on-site restaurants, outdoor bar carts, arts and culture, pickleball courts, live music, Emory University’s Science Gallery and rotating exhibits.

We had a late lunch at Dailies & Sides, a casual food spot offering burgers, salads. The day we visited, we ordered a fried chicken sandwich combo with a side salad, which had beautiful slices of watermelon radishes that Val and I both loved.

We also ordered Dailies’ $10 beef burger special (one of 26 specialty burgers showcased during Atlanta’s Burger Week, April 17-23). We had a side of golden fries with the burger order.

Dailies offers indoor and outdoor seating. We sat on the patio and watched pickleball players while waiting for our order.

The covered patio has an outdoor living room that is sectioned off from table seating. There’s a comfortable couch and seating andthere a big-screen television.

If you eat inside, enjoy the complimentary popcorn. Just ask your waiter or waitress.  Dailies also offers ice cream and a bar with beer, wine and other libations.

The Fishmonger, which has two Atlanta locations, is another on-site restaurant located at Pullman Yards It offers seafood and indoor and al fresco dining. We saw lots of bicyclists and people eating al fresco. Dogs on leashes also are welcome.

Pullman Yards also offers a fire pit with seating and a marshmallow bar.  According to the venue’s website, free skate night is offered on Thursdays, 6-10 p.m. (bring your skates, take the kids and enjoy the DJ spinning music).

You’ll find several artsy backdrops for selfies at Pullman Yards.  Maybe you can make your own mini movie.

Dailies & Sides is open 7 days a week, hours vary. 404-228-2026.
